Food and Drinks

The food and drinks at Lodge is excellent. Since many of the guests staying at will be arriving on the late night flight, a wonderful buffet dinner is set up just after the plane lands at 9.30 pm. They will even delay the cooking and preparation should the plane be late to ensure a superb fresh meal. Of particular mention are the desserts including cream puffs on some occasions (pictured to right). It is certainly a pleasure enjoying a delicious meal before you retire for the evening and especially after the marginal airplane dining.

Chefs prepare an expansive menu featuring dishes from Africa, Asia and Europe using fresh local ingredients. Vegetarian recipes are always available, and the lodge enjoys a growing reputation for its variety of seafood dishes, prepared to order with a delicate blend of spices. Choose to dine watching over the 'extended family' within the grounds as flamingos, crowned crane, spoon bills and herons enjoying the tiered ponds and fountain.
