A Few Words on Camping.....
Camping is a truly magical way to experience the wilds of Africa and we highly recommend incorporating at least one night into your safari itinerary. It will undoubtedly prove to be a memorable affair. Camping affords for the most intimate of moments and will bring you as close as possible to this great wilderness. You will enjoy bush dinners and warm campfires under the open African sky in the company of just your friendly guide and personal cook. Other options include short walks in some areas or just relaxing and enjoying the birds and other wildlife from the comfort of your safari chair. Lastly, there is nothing quite like falling asleep to the distant trumpeting of an elephant, the roar of a lion or the unmistakable grunt of a hippo.

Camping Style.....
We offer one style of private camping called medium camping for lack of better words. We firmly believe that this level of camping strikes the perfect balance between comfort & luxury and flexibility & authenticity. Camp is always set up prior to your arrival and broken down after your departure. Your personal cook and camp assistant transport your private camp in a separate assistant vehicle to your chosen campsite. The equipment never travels in your own private vehicle assuring the greatest comfort and optimizing your game viewing time.

Large domed tents are utilized and each comes equipped with two raised stretcher beds. The beds have foam mattresses and plenty of sheets and blankets. The beds are extremely cozy and most people find them more comfortable then many of beds founds in the mid-range lodges. The bathroom consists of an erected vertical tent around a wooden block and plastic toilet seat (long drop toilet). Your bladder shower will be filled with warm water daily on your request. Safari chairs and a table are provided so you may enjoy a campfire or a warm meal under the African sky. A personal cook will accompany you.
